Germany Floods News | Heavy Rain Causes Flooding In Parts Of Southern Germany | Germany News | G18V

Parts of Southern Germany are under flood warning, with the highest levels applying to western Swabia, the Upper Allgäu and Upper Bavaria.

A state of emergency has been declared in Augsburgdue to the extreme rainfall and rising water levels. Water levels are expected to continue to rise sharply in the coming hours. The communities of Fischach and Langenneufnach will be particularly affected.

The Lake Constance region has also been affected and is under risk of flooding. Around 1,300 people in Meckenbeuren, Baden-Württemberg have been advised to evacuate.

We never had something like this before here. My family was lucky, only our basement got flooded. Some friends of mine were evacuated in the middle of the night, they had to leave all their belongings at home because of the water in their house. Electricity doesn’t work right now in most parts of my town. We had to go to school today even though a lot of people weren’t able to come, because of water in the streets. Our sports hall became an evacuation shelter for the people with flooded houses. Our school day was normal with the acceptance that only 10 students from my class could appear today.

Terrible indeed, but what happened in Southern Brasil 1 month ago was 10x worst, with 3 small damm destroyed and 1000's of houses completely destroyed, washed away by water and the worst, more then 300 people died !!

Nature can be wonderful if we treated fair. This may sound crazy but we need to stop the economy now, or the economy will shut itself down and we won’t have a choice. These destructive forces are striking all over the world in many ways. Tornadoes and floods Hurricanes in the US, floods all over the world earthquakes in Japan flood in Saudi Arabia, floods in Africa floods in Mexico and hurricanes, The ice is melting in Iceland And Antártica, Brazil some parts of South America .
