Floods batter countries from Germany to Romania in wake of Storm Boris | DW News

Heavy rain battered central Europe, causing flooding in several parts of the region. Rivers overflowed from Poland to Romania and some parts of the Czech Republic and Poland have faced the worst flooding in almost three decades.

In Romania we were warned for 10 days in advance and people did nothing to protect themselves. They let the animals remain, nobody took shelter and now they cry the water came

This is a terrible disaster beyond. Recognition. My late. Husband worked in the south African Merchant Navy. In the 1970, s. He was in Europe itself. A few years before his death. He was watching DW. News. It must have jogged his memory. That mentioned the Elbe River. How it is like the Artic Cycle. There or was for him. As you go up the Elbe River. Absolutely. Amazing. How the World famous. Danube River is flowing. Must be a terrible. Horror movie. Especially with power lines down. Danger. Here in Johannesburg. There was once upon a time. A coffee shop called. Cafe Wein. Know it well. Would love to see a documentary about all these rivers in this part of Europe. Instead of all the tradegy upon tradigy all the time. Sometimes. Would make a great documentary.
