My theory is..it's little to do with allergic reaction but lack of mature keratinocytes or perhaps the person might
bear an aberrant keratinocyte. As you can see, when keratinocytes leave stratum basale and migrates upward to stratum corneum, they assume a very essential function which is the formation of epidermal water barrier...what I can see you...patients having this disease is actually not protected by water....

there are symptoms. They include itchy hives that appear on the body after showering or swimming. I know this because I have it.
