How To PICK UP Objects in Unity Tutorial

The goal of this Unity Tutorial was to show how you can make a generic script you can attach to any GameObject, and get the desired behavior. This way you can painlessly attach a script to a variety of objects to speed up your development time.

Also, picking up an object is pretty basic functionality you should know in game development.

i definitely needed this. i'm bad at computers and i'm coming at this sort of backwards, the algorithm fed me some Adam Younis videos about Aseprite, it looked fun so i got it and got addicted to making idle and run and attack animations, now i have all these assets and no idea what to do with them. i tried some unity tutorials but my lack of context on the functionality has been a huge barrier, so i feel like, now, ok, i can go hop into some C# tutorials, i can challenge myself to take that slow, use that context to better understand the programming aspect of working in-engine, and create something, even if it's really basic and just serves to showcase the stuff i make in aseprite
