Half of the people in Czech Republic hate "Czechia". The other half usually likes both (nobody mind Czech Republic). So, if you come to Czech Republic, it's, let say, much safer to call it Czech Republic.

Czechia. If there is an official short name of a country, that is what should be used.

Yo Czechomoravia actually sounds like a dope name, and it's also fitting with the two regions that encompass the country

The country is called Tšekki in finnish BTW. Fun fact: a nickname for Finland during the presidency of
U.K. Kekkonen is Kekkoslovakia

If I say that I'm from Czechia, no one knows from where I am but if I say the Czech Republic, they always know. Czechia also kinda sounds like Chechnya, and many people think that is the same. But still, I prefer Czechia more than the Czech Republic because it actually sounds better in my opinion.

I have a friend who is from Moravia, which is the Eastern, less represented half of the Czech Republic, and he and his people prefer that it is actually split when casually referring to the country. Example:
-They are from Moravia
-She lives in Prague, in Czechia
-He lives in Olomouc, in Moravia
Kind of like the states, where some people prefer to say that they are New Yorkers or Texans casually instead of calling themselves Americans.
It’s an interesting topic, and everyone has a different standpoint on it.

I would actually prefer Bohemia. Czechia is just the czech name for Bohemia anyways. The Boii tribe which Bohemia is named after lived across all of Bohemia, Moravia and Silesia, but the Czech tribe only lived in what is now Bohemia. Bohemia was the name used throughout history, and both Czechia and Bohemia used to just be names for the western half, Bohemia is just the better option to be honest. Also, it just sounds better, and I hate that English uses the Polish spelling of Czechia. Even "Chekia" would be better IMO.
