This car inspired Elon Musk! tZero by AC Propulsion

When Elon first drove the tZero, he wanted AC Propulsion to commercialize it, but they weren’t interested in building cars. Instead Elon would be introduced to Tesla and invest in them and eventually take it over instead.

At first, AC Propulsion was partnered with Tesla. The first Roadsters used AC Propulsion systems, but Tesla reverse engineered the components and cut AC Propulsion out.
