I love how Grandma defused the husband with the cookies. Well played, ma'am, well played.

This is so my mom! Strict about house rules, bed times, curfews, you name it, but as soon as she got her hands on a grandchild, it ALL went out the window!

I lost my Ganma when I was 6 and my Nana when I was 8. I was the youngest of my Ganma’s 15 grandkids. My mom’s oldest sister stepped into the “Grandma role.” She went to Grandparents day, made sure that I got all the same traditions that my older cousins got, was there for all of my surgeries, helped me with college. She spoiled me rotten. She passed away from breast cancer last year. But this was her to a “T”.

There's only 2 questions a southern grandmother will ask "Did you eat? " "Did you get enough to eat? "

Absolutely SO TRUE! We fought that battle with my wife's mother all the way through 4 kids. We never won.

My wife's family is from Korea. Have you ever tried to tell a Korean grandmother not to spoil her children? Might as well be selling health food at the Texas State Fair, the results would be just as productive.

Most grandma’s rules are basically just “Don’t do anything dangerous and don’t tell your mom I let you run wild”

Grandma rules override all other rules! One of my childhood favorites was popsicles before dinner and still have dessert!

I had a great aunt on my mother's side - oh boy was this she!! Although she never scolded me, the one phrase she could have used to *destroy* me would have been: "I'm disappointed in you." I lived my life in such a way that she never had cause to say that.

The darkest day of my life was the day she died. She and my great uncle taught me so much in life. I wish both of them could have met my wife, daughters, and grandsons. Plus I wish they could have spoiled them, too!!!

Thank you for this series and for a very pleasant walk down Memory Lane. ❤️

Exactly what my grandma did too. Of course she was strict with her own kids. But when she has grandkids, you better believe it she'll spoil them.

I absolutely love this video 😄 Since I've become a grandma, my children have said that they no longer recognize me, that I'm definitely not the same woman who raised them 😅 I remember an old saying that went something like this--"The Lord gives us children to love, and grandchildren to love us back". I say "Amen" to that 😁
