The whopper jr was actually made by accident. When the first Burger King opened in Puerto Rico in 1963, they had no bread molding trays for the whoppers. The manager, Luis Arenas Perez, found smaller ones nearby and sold a smaller version of the sandwich. He is in the BK hall of fame for his creation

The Whopperito for the price was SUCH a banger. It deserves to be brought back.

I am practically obsessed with the Double Whopper with Cheese. I also add extra pickles and extra mustard. So good

I always remember in the 90s the wrapper that they used for the Whopper had a dotted line circle on the inside and would represent the small size of the big Mac compared to the whopper. Fast food ward were fun

Back in the early days of the Whopper it was a pretty decent burger for a reasonable price.

It's no shock that BK is in 10th place. The CEO's endless profit chasing at the cost of quality will make it so BK will never see their old #2 spot ever again.

Locally, a Whopper is $5.99 before sales tax. But every once in a while they run a 2 for $6 special, so it's basically a bogo, which is nice.

As far as big burgers go, best memory I have is of a place called "Ned's Restaurant" in Aynor South Carolina. My grandfather (also named Ned) took me there and said they had the biggest best hamburgers. The "Ned Burger" was massive, it was amazing. I haven't been there since 1996 and my Grandfather has long since passed, but it's a great burger memory with him.

I worked at burger king during one of the years they had the black bun for halloween- I think it was called the Nightmare Whopper or something.
Turns out, as my dad experienced but I didn't, the black buns had so much green food dye in them that it would turn your poop green. The real nightmare

a couple of things not mentioned in this video were that the whopper used to contain mustard as well as ketchup and mayo as sauces. another thing forgotten was the mcdonalds lawsuit which also named Sarah Michelle Geller which got her banned from mcdonalds. and as for the whopper getting smaller it has up in canada there was a big thing about that so the ones in canada do contain less meat as it was a cost cutting thing a number of years ago when they changed their bun suppliers i just don't remember what year that was either 2010 or 2011 i think but i could be off on the year.

BK is in trouble at least in my area. Our local BK looks like it was forgotten about years ago. The prices suck, and so does the food.

It's so weird that Burger King is called Hungry Jack's here. It took me a LONG time to realise they were the same franchise when I would hear Burger King mentioned in American movies.

in australia Hungry Jack's (the australian counteerpart to burger king) DID make their own take on the big mac. It was called the Big Jack and you could get it with either beef or chicken patties.

Fast food is all crazy expensive now. At least Burger King has coupons, I haven't seen McDonald's coupons for years.

Worked at BK for about 10 years in my 20s I meet some good people and made some good memories.
I’m 51 now and I’m sure I could still make everything by memory.
