For those of you who are arguing about fish sauce and lime. In Thailand we use fish sauce in almost all of our dishes. We also use lime as a garnish for our fried rice. Yes we squeeze it in our fried rice along with additional chili fish sauce (น้ำปลาพริก) then you mix them all together. The best👍

Most of the steps from Gordon is actually correct. He even mentioned that the dish is perfect for leftoever rice. Which is very very true. The best fried rice is done by using overnight leftover rice.

Nieces and Nephews, Mr Ramsay didn't claim this recipe to be Egg Fried Rice. There's no right way to make "Easy Fragrant Fried Rice", mainly because we've all never even heard of the damn thing.

Our mothers might disown us for making this strange fried rice without meat or Soy sauce but they definitely would if we were seen being disrespectful. Keep it classy

Uncle Roger would wayyy prefer Ramsay’s way of cooking fried rice than Jamie’s. He could still wish to see the usage of MSG and cooking with wok though haha

As an Asian, I would like to point out that fried rice is supposed to be drier than that, and each grain of rice is not to stick to another. Also, rice fried with eggs should have a more golden color to it (that means the dish needs more eggs).
And geez, put some meat and fat in there, it's not super models food. It's not that good for your body, but Asian cuisine isn't famous for being healthy. It's the taste and the great amount of energy packed in a dish.
Then again, you Western people might like this dish the Gordon's way. I'm just saying this from an Oriental point of view.
