7 Things God HATES | Proverbs 6:16-19 Bible Study

One way to know someone more deeply is to learn the things they love, and also the things they hate. Some may think God doesn't hate anything because He is a God of love, but in order to be truly loving, righteous, and holy, He must hate the opposite of those things. In this video we're doing a Bible study on Proverbs 6:16-19, where we learn seven things God HATES. My encouragement to all of us as we unpack these things is to ask God where they are present in our own hearts, so that we can ask Him to refine us and make us look more like Him. Let our prayer be, "Lord help me to love the things You love and hate the things You hate. Make me look more like You." 🤍

The one I’m most prone to is haughty eyes. I hate when people are judgmental but I find myself being judgmental in thought. I’m trying to combat these thoughts by reminding myself that everything I am comes from God. I have nothing to boast about.

Amen! Jesus I’m crying out to you. Please hear my cries. I’m struggling with my faith. I knew when I found Jesus my life wouldn’t be easy because I would have to give up on my sinful life style and follow him. I’m a single mother struggling to make ends meet. Since covid I have been struggling to get back on my feet. I lost my job for declining the vaccine. I declined due to my pre existing health conditions, lupus and heart disease so now I’m having a hard time providing for my children. Both of my sons are special needs. I’m overwhelmed I started homeschooling them due to bullying. I’m waitressing and I’m happy to be back working but I’m not making nearly enough to get by. I have nowhere to turn no family nor friends. No hope. I have been put down and mocked, over my situation. Prayers are all I want. I’m so ashamed and so embarrassed so please be kind. Every month I struggle with my children I’m barely making it. But I still keep faith. Praise Jesus. Please hear my prayers. I have faith God will continue to provide.

Haughty eyes and lies. I didn’t think of my looking at others and thinking looking down on them for petty reasons. Lord please forgive me. I don’t mean to be that way, and I learned to lie as a little girl to protect self and find that I stretch the truth sometimes and or not speak the complete truth. Oh Father God, please forgive me and Bend me to thy will. And help me stop these actions as I want strive to be more like you daily. In Jesus Christ Name, Amen. But I thank God for his forgiving soul, but that means I must strive to break out of those habits and become new in Him. Side note: Finding out the etymology (root meaning) of words in the Bible (in Hebrew) has blown my mind.
