I'm super excited for Aquatica. My wife and I played it on the cruise earlier this year and found it to be fantastic. Such a nice Engine building game. The new wild manta's look more pink in the video, but I agree that they still look a little hard to read. I'm surprised that they didn't use white instead.

Is there a specific SKU number to ask for? My game store was not sure which version I’ll get if I order through them and said they saw no changes to the SKU...

ah I hoped they fixed the card quality in the new version. I'm no expert in card materials, but it didn't feel very durable when I played it in Essen. And now that I see these beat up cards in Toms copy, I'm not surprised.

I just received my game and found that the mantas aren’t that difficult to read. Play in a well lit room and they are fine.
One thing I did notice is that the location cards are an off size so sleeving will be difficult and the spot they go in won’t fit the cards sleeved. The spot already is to small for the cards and a couple of the cards slide out of the insert. It should’ve been deeper.
Just some things I’ve noticed.

They should have outlined the manta graphics with white borders to make them pop on the dark manta color.

This is the game where you're supposed to slide cards inside slots on your player boards, right? I think there was something about those slots not being large enough to handle sleeved cards in the original printing; are the slots in the new printing the same size or did they change them?

New version, two players, seems awfully short. I own and have played.

With the new Matrona rule and only 18 cards in the ocean deck. And one of the end game conditions being the ocean deck running out.

Also, baffling to me that the other Mantas do not have white writing. Would have been 1000% better
