I assume this is for processed food which comes with a label showing the nutrient breakdowns.

How do you work out the Kcal for vegetables and meat which are a mix of water carbs protein and fats?

Is this how kcal are calculated for all recipes? By adding up all the raw ingredients? How accurate is that for the final cooked result? And have these calculations been checked against final cooked meals?

How to calculate calories in ounces that has total number of grams of carbohydrates? For example calories in one 8 ounces of glass of chocolate milk that has 26 grams of carbohydrates….please let me know

Right off the bat, YOU ARE WRONG on the abbreviation. “Kcal” means kilocalories, NOT calories. 1 kcal = 1000 cal.

i'm so confused... I googled it, google says: "A gram of carbohydrate contains 4 calories. A gram of protein also contains 4 calories. A gram of fat, though, contains 9 calories", so either this "calories" term is equivalent to "kcal" symbol (which make no sense coz 1kcal should = 1000 cal), or there's something strange going on here....
