The "Fits all AMD sockets" is an understatement.  I see reviews on this one where users broke/cracked their boards trying to put it on.  I too, am having a pain trying to get this to fit right now.  On another note, I RARELY install CPU fans and Heatsinks outside of the case.  

Looks like doing it that way however, makes the process a LITTLE easier.  Will try it when I get home today.

So your product does not fit into my AMD AM3 socket. I have nothing for these clips to clip into. I don't have a retention frame like this one on the video. And the brackets don't line up with the holes in the mother board.

I remember installing this cooler and it was very difficult. I had to really push it hard so that the retention clip would go in. It's all worth it though, now my cpu temps are so low I'm never worried about overheating.

Que tal es este cooler? ya que tengo el gabinete k380, con un i5 4690k máxima altura 155mm este me andaría mejor que un tx3?

These fans are a nightmare to install on AMD systems, the latches are so tight that they might damage your motherboard.

i need to replace the thermal paste and i have this fan installed on. damn it is so fucking tight i dont know if im using enough pressure or not trying to remove this so i just let it that way and not replacing the thermal paste renderring to broke my board

I hate this fan for AMD, every time you let the fan lift up off the heat sink, and fall back onto it with thermal compound, you are creating air pockets. It is a one shot deal. I find it VERY difficult to install with the mobo already in the case. I am buying a different fan just because of this... I dented the edge of my heat spreader because of the immense pressure it requires to bend the fan over to once side to reach the other clip.
The fan is fantastic other than that, so the intel guys get a good on here.

Can anyone say what temperature under load this cooler provided with an i7-6700K ? Please say what was the room temperature when the under load temperature was measured. Thanks.

Could I put the fan on the other side of the heatsink? I'm afraid my giant ass ram heatsinks might be in the way lol
