Awesome M3. Have the same car but with red interior and 2k more miles. Will never part with it! Replaced the rod bearings for good measure. Luckily I did as the factory ones were worn down to copper and was maybe a few hard pulls away from spinning one. There were absolutely no warning signs/sounds. Something compelled to me to just have them replaced. The car was never tracked, religious oil changes and was warmed up fully before any type of spirited driving took place. I know of cars going well over 100k miles before showing any signs of wear and a few where the engine went south with no warning with as little as 10k miles. Other than that, the engine is bullet proof.

I have a '12 space grey & fox red competition w/ a 4.5k odometer sitting in a temperature and humidity controlled garage on a drive-on lift wearing original rubber. While I would love to see what it'd fetch in the current inflated market, I can't bring myself to get rid of it because of that potential future market. Plus the driving experience is sublime.

What a great tour...Had been waiting for a video like this for a while. Planning a solo trip in September starting in Long Island, NY, surround all of NY State borders and head down to The E39 M5 Mecca of the World(EAG) for a quick service (and hopefully in-person Tour) before heading back home to NY. I’m of the opinion the oil analysis doesn’t tell you much on the 2013s. Especially with the different bearings that are in these from the pre-lci models
