When I hung cameras I discussed it with my neighbor and angled them where they mostly look at my property. I picked the cameras field of view as I placed them. Once installed I showed the main screen to my nieghbor. We are not friends by any means, but we always look out for the security of our area.

I have cameras around my house. I can see one side of the neighbors house and 90 % of their yard. A few years ago they called and asked me to check the video because someone had stolen some things from his truck. Sure enough I had it all recorded. I guess it all depends on what type of neighbor you have as to whether the cameras are considered hurtful or helpful.

Man I am so glad my neighbors on both sides are great people...I've gotten along with them for over 20 years without so much as a single incident ever...I feel bad for folks who have to go through nonsense like this.

I'm glad you and your neighbors get along so well to play games with each other

Once the camera is blinded, there's no evidence of where that pellet damage came from.

Put up sun sails to block the view of their cameras into your house or property. They are usually triangle shaped sails that provide shade, without catching too much wind. Like at restaurants.

Plant a privacy hedge! It'll take a year or two. But it'll solve your problem and add to your property value.

ANOTHER reminder of why I live on the very rear of 38 wooded acres adjoining a national forest. MY neighbors are deer, turkey, eastern diamondbacks, etc
Make for better neighbors than MOST humans

As someone with several IR cameras on my property and a lot of experience with them, I would recommend IR blasters instead. No visual evidence of countermeasure. From your neighbors perspective, they would just see a white screen on their monitor. Plus the IR blasters can be aimed back at them while being placed in a more discrete location.

I have the same problem, but I figured out how to stop those cameras. I've taken out a handful of them already, just waiting for the right conditions to take out the rest of them.🙂🙂🙂🙂

I JUST had this happen yesterday. In court with a neighbor and they show footage of an incident with a camera that is pointed DIRECTLY at the front of my house, right at my front door recording every conversation I have with anyone at my door, it covers the front of my garage, and the camera has view of the inside of my house if my garage door/foyer doors are open. It’s insane. Time for countermeasures.

You should try getting a bunch of IR spotlights, and just flood their whole side of the house with them. They won't have any visible light shining at them, and the cameras will totally be useless.

I take out the cameras with a long shooting water hose and I do it 3 or 4 am in the morning. Best time to do it is when it rains hard as well. Stay out of the cameras view ofc and shoot the water to the side, I promise you, they will stop working.. Not immediately, it takes time, but after one good shot of water, hit the camera with about 3 quick squirts and turn off the water and go inside. Think I'm lying??? Well, I've taken out a handful of them and the neighbors think it's the rain or weather knocking them out. If they are stubborn cameras, hit them again about two or three times with 3 quick squirts each time you do this routine of water and head back inside the house. Also, come up with a reason in your head incase you get caught. I have an excuse ready incase I get caught. Wear dark clothing when you do this. I do a few more walk throughs my yard before I also attack these invasive cameras.

GREAT VIDEO THANK YOU SO MUCH, we are going through it with a crazy neighbor. Any details on which laser package and why 650nm and not 850nm? Thank you

If people used cameras for what they were for; I would aim it at my house and around my house if I don't want you anywhere near me.
Pointing a camera in someone's backyard is beyond creepy and I think illegal. I was told that if the camera isn't showing any part of the camera owner's property, and only the property of someone else's, that's illegal. Because it shows that they are intentionally filming you/snooping and not using the camera for security.
