In this week's video I am banished to my cabin, while exciting changes are happening to my bathroom! What nicer way to spend a November day than stitching on my EPP quilt projects for my youngest grandchildren and having a catch up with all of you on The Lime Green Sofa!

Quite a few of the items have now sold out, but there are still lots of lovely things if you have started your Christmas shopping! We will be restocking some of the sold out things over the next few weeks.

My Patrons support me and enable me to make these videos. I employ Anna and Rita, my two daughters in law, I simply would not be able to do this without my wonderful Patrons! You can join for a trial to see if you would like to join us. Check the feature 'Collections' to find everything grouped by subject, over 5 years of content, there is sure to be something to enjoy!

Over in The Last Homely House Facebook Group, it is the admins who will welcome you to that lovely group - over 9000 people sharing their crafts and ideas on The Lime Green Sofa!

Instagram is another place you can find all things Last Homely House, frequent posts, stories and reels over there just search - kateatthelasthomelyhouse.

The music in this video is from Epidemic Sound and is called - After the Tempest and The Willow.

Thank you so much for watching! I am passing a pot of hot tea and some freshly baked chocolate shortbread down The Lime Green Sofa for each and every one of you! Watch out for spills!

Take care,
Love
Kate

These are my favorite kind of Kate videos, sewing, chatting about home and family, , like having a wonderful neighbor.

Kate, i am 78 years old, live in Northern Alberta, Canada. I love to sir and watch your video while knitting or hand quilting. I feel like we are sitting across from each other. Your hexagon quilt is a masterpiece. Thank you for the lovely visit

I was diagnosed with SAD in my 30s (now 70) so I understand the sentiment of being down as the dark takes over..oddly, there’s been three lots of things happen that has made it better. There is a vlogger named Cecilia who lives on Svalbard, so has polar night from October until March (ish). Last year as the polar night came she talked a lot about what she enjoyed about polar night and it gave me pause, I also noticed that she’d come out on her porch, regardless of the weather and enjoy a cup of coffee. This particularly struck me because in the Summer I sit on my patio at 5-6 a.m. and enjoy a cup of coffee snuggled in a quilt..and decided to not change that schedule other than move from 5 to a more sensible 7 a.m. but loosely sticking to a schedule.. and the last came from you..watching you hand sewing brought a sense of calm. So, I’ve picked two projects for the next three months, one of them EPP quilt just big enough to wrap around my shoulders when the light comes back in the spring. And the other is hand stitching a robe from scraps of cloth.. you made a particular quilt using the method of overlapping material.. I do enjoy your videos, it’s comfy on the virtual green couch!

I love the videos you do, where you are sewing, and chatting away, having a cup of tea. It reminds me of being home with my sisters and just catching up on what's going on in our lives while quilting .

It is a pleasure to visit with you in your lovely cabin. In a turbulent, hectic pace world, you have provided such a peaceful and homely place for me to see the beauty that still exists. Thank you Kate and God bless you

Agnes' quilt is also my most favorite quilt you ever made, and oh how I love your little cabin. I can just imagine listening to the birds singing and seeing what goes on outside with your garden.

Lovely day. Thank you for letting me into your cabin.
As for curtains...take all the "T's", join them and make a similar curtain that you have in your house. They will be so bright and joyful in the cabin and remind you of your grandson and son (who didn't care for the flowery T's). Looking forward to your next video 😊. Thank you, nancy

Stitching a little hand painted flower and bird scene while thoroughly enjoying the day in your cabin Kate. I can’t believe it has been a year since I watched Ant creating your fabulous wood quilt wall! Cheers, Christine 💙🧵🪡
