I just got my air and it's spectacularly fascinating, which should be noticed as a mechanical engineer who works with AutoCAD, Fusion360, Solidworks, and so on, I haven't faced any problems, bugs, or so on. highly recommended 16gig and 1T to make sure have the perfect laptop for a great amount of time.🥳

I had a 2015 MacBook Pro so the upgrade was well worth it and huge. But I can’t get over how small and light this laptop is! Really appreciated for me😂

In Europe, prices are a little different, and the difference between MBA with 512 GB and entry level MBP is only ~100€, so you would definitely think twice about going with the air, given that the pro just has many nice features, like the larger and way better screen and the speakers. Only if portability is the main factor, the air is better.

I was firstly interested by the MBA M2 but prices in Europe are more expensive and quite close from MBP when you chose ram / storage options so I decided to go for the MPB 14 10C 16GPU that i was lucky to get quickly for a very good deal ! I love music, i must say that on the MBP it sounds amazing !!! For this only i would definitely recommend to chose it over the Air, right after i can say that the ProMotion screen is also perfect to watch 4k HDR content. For those worried about the weight, even with a case on it, it's still feels light to me, just go for it you won't regret !!!

I'm super happy with my base MacBook Pro 14" that I choose thanks to your videos

99% of people won't need the extra power of the 14" or 16". As a graphic designer using the M2 for production and heavy tasks, so far I'm very happy with the performance.

Please note that the screen on the M2 MBA and 14” MBP are fundamentally different. The MBA has an IPS panel and a 60Hz refresh rate, while the 14” MBP uses Mini-Led (Liquid Retina XDR, as marketed by Apple), and the refresh rate is 120 Hz. The increased refresh rate makes a day-and-night difference.

14" MBP for me all the way. The M2 Air is interesting, but the extra power in the 14" Pro is worth it to me.

The main reasons to consider one over the other is portability, screen and long heavy task sessions

Coming from the 2010 MacBook Pro, I LOVE my new air. Opted for the larger graphics chip, 24gb memory, and 1T storage. I waited way too long to get a new mac but I’m really happy with my purchase. It’s so thin and light which is a huge bonus.

The MBP 14” is $1599 at Best Buy and a few other retailers rn. So yeah the upgrade is definitely worth it imo.

Honestly after you bump the MBA for 16gb ram and 512gb storage you’re purely buying it for the slim factor because you’re nearly at the price of a MBP. I was put in the position between the two and ended up taking the MBP 14 base. The screen is absolutely stunning no regrets. If you have the extra money I’d suggest going for the MBP.

My main gripe was the port options! The MBP just has "all" that one needs and not worry about various dongles. Also, the refresh rate and 10 GPUs help!

i have the base model M2 Air almost for 2 weeks and it’s absolutely fantastic! it’s not comparable with 13 M1 series pro or air ! if you are not an engineer or something, it does it’s job pretty well for editing and other stuff.no throttling, no getting hot, no being slow.fantastic design, too many colours, bright screen, thin and portable . so definitely go for it specifically the Starlight color is a piece of art!

been so tempted to get the air, it looks amazing but the lack of support for dual external monitors is a deal breaker. i know it's possible to use a hub but it's still not natively supported and i don't want to buy a hub just for that, let alone carry one between home and office.

While it is lighter, has better battery life and is a little faster for lighter duty tasks, I’d still take my MBP 14 over the Air. The active cooling and increased graphics performance get a W for future proofing, and after you upgrade the RAM and storage on the MBA, you’re within a couple hundred dollars from the MBP, especially since you can get discounts on the base MBP 14.

A major difference is if you want to use more than one external monitor you have to get the MBP.
