The CPU is so fast that it won't be in stock when intel release it officially.

Intel Confidential sounds pretty cool and now I want to see AMD Classified

Just ask the sellers for "BIOS patch"
And probably get the "working MB"
You just bought "too early", they will "test eventually" and keep selling.

I like that you people are always honest about sponsoring/NDA's and such.

"Should you go buy engineering samples to get early access to up coming platforms" Who would do this other than Linus 😂

I don't think it's fair to say Linus was scammed, I mean he even admitted right at the start that you could run into issues buying ES chips, meaning he was well aware that he was taking a risk and it may not work, so unless there's proof this isn't an i9 12900k then it technically isn't a scam yet.

can't wait to see the actual comparison 12900k vs R9 5950x after L3 cache bug fix and full wattage load on both chip! gonna be spicy !!

Loki: "THESE ARE INFINITY STONES!"
TVA Worker: "Yeah we use them as paper weights here"

Linus: "12 GEN INTEL ENGINEERING SAMPLE"
Antony: "You just bought a 700$ paper weight"

Idea: reach out to the seller and instead of lambasting them, ask them politely for a BIOS file (and mobo model) that works with the ES (they might not be aware of such a limitation, who knows). Then you can compare that BIOS file to the retail version of the same BIOS and do a piece on exactly what Intel is doing to disable QS/ES chips on retail boards.

I remember with Skylake having to modify bios files to add microcode for the earlier ES chips. Don’t think I’d want to do that on a Z690 board though… 😂

I like how with this video Linus has shared the experience of his wasted time by allowing us all to waste our time together! Authentic!

Lol so basically this was a bust of a video that you normally would have scrapped but instead uploaded it anyway to recoup the costs of buying a $700 paper weight....

Ok I see you Linus.
