I think what I find humorous is how angry they get at the driver when they screw up their own attempts, as if the driver is at fault for not being scammable.

A person did this to my brother in 2005. He slowly gave it gas and drove over the guys leg. His buddy smashed a window. Turns out it was a scam for money or they beat you down. My brother was a cop then and arrested 3 people that night.

i once had something like this in Timisoara. Someone jumped my hood and layed down. I shut off my car, took the key out (so nobody sprints in, stealing my car), opened my trunk, went up to the person laying in front of my car and said "well i have to take this one with me and cut him into pieces. I am not going to prison again". As i started pulling him by his feet, he got up and decided its better to leave. Good for him, i 100% would have committed to the point of starting a bandsaw.

If this happens to you, DO NOT tell the scammer about your cam.
Patiently wait for a cop & show him the footage. The scammer
will be taken into custody on the spot for fraud.

I enjoyed when the one lady was laying in the road and then got up and was chasing the car trying to claim she was hit but kept getting up and walking and not caring that she had attracted a crowd

this happened to me in San Diego...guy pretended to be "hit"by my car...I got out...tazed him...dragged his ass off the street onto the sidewalk...no one said a word to me...drove away..

Never tell anyone you have recorded the incident on dash cam.
Just provide the footage to the insurance company.

Let them make false stories and be found out :)

I wish people would either 1) Wait for the police to show up before telling them you have dashcams, or 2) give em a little bit of tread wear, or 3) pepper spray them before leaving.

The last one was the most realistic and best performance of the lot. Vehicle stops far from him but the performance of him jumping and flying through the air and landing on the ground was fantastic. Give that guy an award.
