I love how seamlessly this movie sprinkles in the humor. "Too much television!" but it rips straight to back to seriousness without missing a beat. I adore this movie.

Robin Shou was the perfect Liu Kang.

While this Mortal Kombat focused less on gore, this Movie actually made Liu Kang more believable as The Chosen One. He ran away because he was afraid of the responsibility of the Tournament, and because of that, blamed himself for Chan's death. By the end of the movie, he understood the purpose of the Tournament. He fought Shang Tsung not to avenge Chan's death, but to protect Earthrealm, because Chan choose his own Destiny and his death wasn't Liu's fault.

This film was excellent. It captured the feel of the first Mortal Kombat trilogy.

Raiden’s character in the games should’ve been adapted to fit Lambert’s portrayal like they did Shang Tsung with Cary Tagawa.

Rayden put some fear into him with the quickness.
Not only that, he carries himself with a completely fearless and calm aura throughout the entire film.
That by itself should've alarmed Liu Kang. 💯
