Robin Shou as Liu Kang was phenomenal casting/acting. The best decision of the entire movie

Best ending to a 90s action film. Perfect song, brings me back to being a young teen.

Roughly 25 years later, this movie still holds up strong.

The ending is absolutely perfect. From Liu having one last moment with his brother. To the soulful song that is played that gives you a sense of peace after all the struggling throughout the movie. Then Shao Kahn arriving, Raiden and the humans standing up him. And of course the most epic of all theme songs.

I'm 34 and this ending never gets old.

I have a younger brother that died before birth. Every time I see this ending when Lu Kang is reunited with his brother in the light, I get choked up. Very well written ending!

shao khan was more badass in that 10 seconds than he was in the entire annihilation movie.

There's so much to love about this ending

- the goodbye between brothers
- the beat that begins when Kitana walks into frame
- the transition after "let's go home" combined with the uplifting music

But I think the best part is the sense of "we did it". We went against the baddest of bad, and we won. I think that's why "let's go home" hits so hard.

I get goosebumps during the transition between raidens final words and the fade to black. Pure movie magic.

I love the way Liu Kang says "Chan" when he finally gets to see him one last time it looked so genuine. Robin Shou is an amazing actor

A lot of people forget how groundbreaking the MK motion picture soundtrack was. In 1995, dance/rave culture was still reletively underground and this film really brought a huge spotlight onto the whole scene and helped pave the way for Marvel's Blade and WB's Matrix only a few years later.

This movie is one of the best things about my childhood. Mortal Kombat WAS my childhood.
Good old 90's...never forget that era

The guy that played Chan nailed the delivery with the few lines he had. There's something so genuine about the way he sounds and it gets me every time he says
"One day, we will be reunited. But until then, my spirit will always be with you."

The scene with all the children running and laughing with ribbons is genuinely beautiful.

It’s hard to believe the same guy who directed the Resident evil movies also made this masterpiece.
