No joke, this is actually a great character moment for Johnny. He’s finally overcame his arrogance and has finally understood his place in the tournament, and chooses to go into a battle he doesn’t think he’ll win just to save his friends.

I find it extremely interesting that the actor, the guy that thrives on attention and being the center of attention, brought Goro to a secluded spot to kill him without an audience.
And he _still_ delivered the one-liner.

Can we all just take a moment to appreciate the artistry behind bringing puppet Goro to life?

Learning that the iconic sunglasses line was improvised by the actor makes me appreciate his Johnny Cage even more.

Shang Tsung and Liu Kang were casted so perfectly, they really found actors that looked exactly like their characters for them

This Goro was way scarier than CGI Goro 💀

Over 20 years have passed and Cage still hasn't forgotten about those glasses.

Everyone in the theater was dying of laughter when Johnny punched him in the nuts. I also love the detail of him holding his nuts with the bottom arms and balancing himself with the upper arms.

The guy who played scorpion was my karate teacher when I was little, he taught at red dragon in Glendora California and is all around an awesome guy, glad I met him and seen him in this movie !!

One of the few video game movies i still like
"Those were $500 sunglasses, asshole" 😂
They were Ray-Bans, after all

"This is where you fall down" is my favorite line in this movie. Just perfect. Johnny says it in complete annoyance at the stunt man early in the movie, who doesn't know his mark, then after proving himself the most legit of legit fighters, gets to say it to some outworld dragon-man, vindicating himself of everyone who cast doubt on his abilities. Flawless victory.

As a kid in the theater back then, when Johnny Cage did the low-blow on Goro the entire theater went crazy with laughter and cheers like I've never seen before or since.

I love when Raiden cheered for the groin punch and then quickly apologized to the random henchman.

i love how all the actors did such a great job, that they changed the canon of the characters in game, and its all because they treated it with respect and not just oh its a game

I still remember how INCREDIBLE it was to see all these MK characters in live action as a little kid. Still the best Mortal Kombat movie

Unpopular opinion; This movie captured the spirit of Mortal Kombat in a way that no other movie could.

90's kid here, back in the day Mortal Kombat was the life. MK's 1, 2, 3 and the 1995 film was one of the best. Also back when games had less or no dialogue certain games had no save points. Those were the days simple times.

This movie has a sweet charm most films made from games lack.
