This the same idea they used when they had the first generation ZG1000. The ZG 1000 made from 1986 thru 2006 was essentially their Z 1000 sport bike that they detuned and went from 34mm carbs to a 28mm carb-one per cylinder. The same 6 speed tranny but instead of chain added the drive shaft. It was just a detuned and modified ZX1000 sport bike that had mods to make it a touring bike. Same idea as before with this 2nd generation Concours. These bikes really move and they are comfortable to boot. The Concours is a real wolf in sheep's clothing. It isn't real easy to go around it with a whole lot of bikes. If you go up against it thinking this should be easy to pass this big old bagger you might want to look at it a 2nd time before you get your ass handed to you from a Connie.

I kid you not, I accidentally did 130 passing a line of cars on the interstate. I knew I wanted to pass these cars but I was not ready for the raw power that I summoned. Looked down at the speedo and just thought to myself...("Holy sh!t")

I looked at one of these when I was looking at ST 1300’s. For someone more into the sporting side, I’d say this would be the choice. The ST won me over as soon as I sat on it for the excellent riding position. A test ride had sold me for it’s endless grunt V4 and for it’s size and weight, best handling bike I’ve owned.

Hell the old first generation bikes are still a lot of motorcycle even today. When you have a 1000cc inline 4 cylinder with 4 carbs it is just a natural fact that you are going to have so much more power than you really need. The C-10 Connies are just de-tuned Z-1000s with 28mm carbs instead of the 32s on the Z and are shaft driven with a lot of clean fairing and bags. They don't have many gizmos but have exactly everything you need to really enjoy a true performance motorcycle with all the convenience of storage and utility of a touring bike. I still ride my old 2001 Connie and it runs like a sewing machine and will probably outlast me on this Earth. It only has 21K on it so it has a long life ahead of it.

Hey just got into a lower mile 2015 green concours after watching. (never knew about them before or paid any attention to the Oldman bikes!) and saved tons because the dealer couldn't move it. Shes my ugly duckling now.

I've got a 2003 Kawasaki mean streak has Dyno jet power Commander kit saddle bags after market pipes after market grips 36000 miles on it second owner what will you offer me for it over all good shape has a few scratches but runs out good

This bike will eat a 600cc sports lunch in any gear!! I love my zx6r, but you have to be right on with shifting, around town as theirs not a crazy amount of low end power like this things got. Not that the ZX6R is not fast enough by any means. This just has more bell and whistles and better long trip beach rides!!!

I have ridden Hayabusa's and Zx14's since their creation and have owned two of them, and the Zx14 has never out handled the Hayabusa.
