Man when you first start on a bike the weirdest feeling to get used too is clutch/throttle control, but once you get used to it it's like muscle memory

All gotta start somewhere lmao, mostly stalling over and over in a parking lot trying to comfortably take off

Honestly I’ll take stalling over falling so I see this as a win 😂👏🏾

That’s how we learn, it’s okay to fail

The feeling of a vehicle pulling you for the first time is so weird I’m just glad he’s doing it the right way learning the biting point and not just slamming the throttle all I would say is man buy a jacket it’s less than a tenth of what the bike costs and it could well improve your chances of living

That was me the other day taking off for the first time. Stalled it 4 times in a row in our apartment complex parking lot and then took a deep breath cause I was thinking I'm going to have to apply enough throttle to keep it from stalling while simultaneously taking my foot off the ground without taking off like a rocket into the curb. I sat there for a minute. Then a car rolls by and a little girl in the backseat says, "I like your motorcycle." It was a cute moment. Then I figured I was already on the bike, might as well keep trying until I got it. Got it the 5th time and idled around the horse shoe shape of our parking area for 30 min, walking the bike around in a u-turn each time I got to the end. I've been riding an MTB bicycle for the last 11 years, so mentally it felt a bit like sitting on my bicycle. But just kept reminding myself that this thing can kill me.

It may sound funny but its alot easier to grasp when you already know how to drive a manual gearbox because you already have somewhat of an understanding of clutch and throttle control, helped me alot when I took the MSF If not Im Afraid I would have failed it lol

Ah man, I am the same. First time on a bike, I was completely new to operating a clutch. Kept dumping the clutch because the muscle memories with the brake kept getting jumbled in my head with how to operate the clutch.

No shame in learning how to ride. Although I’m not one to make these comments on riders usually, if your at that point in the learning phase still, you probably shouldn’t be in a tshirt and shorts

I stalled at the light twice. He’s in a good position. Keep practicing my dude. You will master that clutch

I’ve been learning that the throttle is actually the clutch. You give it a consistent low rpm rev and then slowly let of the clutch and use the clutch to move you forward. Just weird using a lever instead of a throttle to move you forward

Yeah I stalled out like the first 50 times lol that friction zone.

I remember hopping on a 600 for the first time and I would stall it almost every intersection. We all start somewhere for sure.

That was the hardest thing for me to learn in the beginning so I understand 😅

The main thing is that he did not lose control like you see in other videos.I 👍
