Very elegant. I love how you also made a planter out of the lid. Nothing's wasted!

I love this, but before I attempt it, I woud love to know how long the mat stayed on, seems kind of heavy and looks like it may not hold long ??

Very effective use of a dustbin. I agree with the comments it needs a larger plant at the top. You could also get rid of the dustbin lid and plant a nice Acer or rose in the bin.

You'll need a lot more drainage, drill 10-15 holes, cover w/a scrap piece of screen, pea gravel, then soil🌞

I'm gonna try this with table/placemats...I've had this bin upside down as a planttable but came here specifically to make it look nicer...you gave me lots of ideas

The lid could become a hanging basket and the bin is big enuff for dwarf conifer or large shrub...

Not a bad idea at all!!!! It just needs a larger plant! Stop being so critical of great ideas! Dont like it dont make it. Move on.

I actually like this one. If I happen across that type of trashcan and rug, I might even make one.

Awesome idea think I would paint the mat first in a contrasting color like white, gold or silver. Also would take a peak at placing straight edge along the very inspiring

Cool. Thanks. If you don’t care for the top grooves and want another lip, you could fill it in an smooth it with another material and make it a little thicker than the trash can for a more polished look. Lots of possibilities.
