Nordic Forum Lunch Talk 17: Does Constructive Journalism Actually Work? (Joy Kibarabara)

Touted by some as the ‘future of journalism’, constructive journalism has been gaining traction in both academic and practitioner circles worldwide. Joy Kibarabara, Department of Media Studies at Stockholm University, was the first in Sweden to write a doctoral dissertation on the subject of constructive journalism, studying the topic from the perspective of Kenya’s journalism practice. In this talk, Joy summarizes her findings and provides useful learning points transcending geographical contexts – helpful to both constructive journalism researchers and practitioners.
