I don't care if the firestick blows everything away, as soon as Amazon started taking control back, I dumped them for the Onn a few years back. To me control is more important than Amazon loading an app a few seconds sooner.

Amazon trying to control the content in a device you bought with your money from them, it's ridiculous. I stopped buying Amazon products because of this long time ago, + like you very well displaying in here, you can get something better without all that control and restrictions. Thank you

I wanted to get away from Amazon, so I got an ONN box, but I had nothing but trouble from the start. Bluetooth wouldn't connect consistently (one out of every 30 attempts or so was successful), then after a while it suddenly stopped recognizing my USB hub. Factory reset two hours after setting it up for the first time. Bluetooth was better about connecting (about 1 in 3 or 4) after the reset, but it still wouldn't recognize my USB. I figured this was a bad sign so I returned it and got a 4K Max on sale for $25.

I've been hating on Amazon for a while now. But I've had 4 of their devices over the years, and they've all at least been reliable and consistent performers. Maybe it was just a bad ONN unit, but I've since read up about a lot of people having similar connectivity issues. The Chromecast 4K is probably the best option, but I didn't want to spend $40, plus another $30+ for a new compatible hub.

Very good comparison. I have the Onn and the Firestick on the same TV and I also find them similar. I'm still using the Firestick as my main until I finish customizing the Onn. I have them both hooked up to separate UGREEN USB 3.0 to Ethernet Adapter with ports for extended storage. I can't really notice the difference in the actual app loading when hardwired to my "rooter" 😁

One Important thing to note, that gives Onn a huge advantage, is it’s half the cost of the Firestick 4K’s sale price. It’s a no brainer for me, I ordered 4. I would be excited to see CCGTV 4K go up against the Onn 4K. Thanks for bringing us a great and very useful video!

I have multiple fire sticks. Including the newest one. Like the fire stick. It's what I began with. But I own the shield, buzz TV 4900 and 2 formula z8s. They all blow the fire stick away. Just my opinion.

Onn is only s905y4, try to making comparations between firestick 4k max with s905x4 android tv box. And the important thing to doing a best speed test is try to compare the booting time.

I bought the new Onn box but haven't used it. I have so many firestick and firecube devices that all my available hdmi ports are used. 3 of my firesticks are expanded with 128gb drives. I didn't expand my firestick memory until about 4 months ago because it looked like more trouble than it was worth. Moving apps to expanded memory and again after updates seemed way too clunky. Boy, was I wrong. It's not that bad when in practice. Using nothing but a stock remote, I can maintain my apps in expanded memory with very little typing. I manually typed the adb command and drive address 1 time and have reused that effort 1000+ times. The only duplicate typing is occasionally the app name needs to be re-typed. I wish I had expanded firestick memory sooner. I would own fewer firesticks. I used to believe it was better to buy another firestick than to expand memory because I wanted more apps.

Have 2 4k firesticks and 2 onn streaming boxes. Only difference is 4k firestick has Dolby vision. I use 2nd generation firetv cube for kodi

All Branded Android Options are terrible, Chromecast or Firestick, both so controlled...
If you like to load modded apk, neither are any good
