I have a Fire cube 3rd gen and a new 4k Max. No issues at all with these devices. I have a Nvidia Shield Pro in my closet for when Amazon goes crazy.

Totally agree. I still run Amazon devices here in the UK but that’s only because I can’t get the onn box. But I won’t be buying anymore fire tv devices. For all the reasons you’ve said. Someone needed to say it.

Only makes sense for them move on from andriod at sum time..its what they do..they attach themselves to other services until they can springboard there own ..I'll continue to use the ones I have..but won't be purchasing anymore

Pure greed! Amazon priced Firesticks to get as many people possible into streaming quickly and easily. And that strategy worked.... but then they got GREEDY. And you know, Fire products ARE NOT THAT GOOD compared to the competition for all the reasons you mentioned in this video. Thanks, 3M, for pointing them out.

I bought one just to use at hotels because I’m on the road for work all the time. I had to ditch the fire stick because it won’t get past the captive portal screen to connect it to the hotel WiFi at most hotels.

It's almost 2025. Streaming sticks are of the past. No need for them anymore because TVs these days do the same, and also mirroring from phone to tv is as easy as tapping the icon on the corner.
The only reason for a streaming stick is to hack it and watch things for free

Great to know! i wanted to buy something like this for my mothers tv. i would like something flexible and with a nice interface presentation, not cluttered down with ads and crap she wont use, whe will watch her movie and series collection locally. And that can it can have a Jellyfin and Plex client. What would you recommend? Cheers

My only problem with Amazon Firestick is they only allow you to log into one account and once you log into it, you can’t log out that I can see.
