This is awesome. Even as a full fledged adult, this is helping me with understanding the proper location of the tongue for my S sounds! Finding something positive out of the quarantined days!

Thank you for sharing!!! Today was the first day I have ever heard my 4-1/2 year old son pronounce his sisters name. In 10 minutes of using your technique he corrected it from Whylar to “Skylar” can’t wait for her to hear it! Thank you much!!!

Excellent catch with the final /s/ to avoid choosing words that sound like z instead of /s/.

You are awesome. Both my kids are in speech and s, r, z, q, f, v, x, and j are the ones they have a problem saying. Please keep making more

This is a wonderfully informative video! Our SLP sent the link to us for my five year old who is working on /s/ with a lisp. This was very helpful. You're a fantastic presenter, very engaging, clear, and easy to understand. Thank you for sharing your expertise so we can practice at home.

Hi, really great job, thank you so much. I wanted to know more about lateral lisp, my lateral lisp is not because of tongue positioning but rather because of a dental treatment, I got my upper teeth pushed out but my lower teeth remained back, and because of the gap between the upper and lower canines and premolars, the air escaped from the sides when I say S, Z, T.

I've been working with my 4 year old for what feels like a long time on the S sound. She's making a th sound with her tongue out. The smile thing seems like it's helping! Thanks!

The only problem that I have with my speech is my "s" sound. It always sounded like the "Th" more than the "S" sound. Apparently I have a massive underbite that not only affects my pronunciation, but I'm always left chewing my food after everyone has left the table. Getting braces soon, but until then, I'm trying to improve my "s" sound. Thank you!
