After musing on the nature of how we remember things I unwrap a special packet - one that has both the apex and the nadir of pre-Bendis Avengers!

Want to find out more about how to collect your favorite comics (or read more about my new international adventure)?

Operation Galactic Storm is a much more fulfilling and grand scope storyarc than the original Kree / Skrull war, which is still fun and good in the context of its early 70s era.

I am like that for comics, films, toy & my drumming as well to remember things. Reminds me of when Ant Man went inside Iron Man armour after the Hulk fight, Good old Skrull war, dug out my Skrull Kill Krew issues the other day.

I stopped reading comics for years because of "The Crossing" largely because Iron Man was my favorite character and I was enjoying the Len Kaminski run.

I don't think that The Avengers The Crossing Omnibus is bad at all... lol.. I dunno different tastes I guess. I credit The Crossing with really getting me into Force Works as well though. I think the critique of The Crossing being bad because of the Teenage Tony Stark is short sided too. That narrative doesn't come til' waaay later in the book.. Most of the book we get an "evil" Ironman that's hopping through time, doing lots of cool things (like nearly killing The Wasp for example). Also The Crossing features James Rhodes AKA War Machine wearing the 'Warwear' suit, which is DOPE, as well as a few notable showdowns between Avengers trying to take on Ironman; who they think is straight up evil now. Hawkeye goes at him, War Machine as well. I liked this Omnibus... for sure. I think it earned the "notorious" label from hardcore Ironman fanboy's that didn't like the way that Kang and Mantis were using him in this one.
