All right - so this was a great article. Is that what you call it on Youtube? Or should I call it a clip? Man, there's so much to learn. Anyway, I've been writing on Medium for a while, under two different names. I make between $50 to $100 a month between the two accounts. There has been ONE three hundred dollar month. For me, this is just rehearsal. I am about to retire from my day job this October, and I plan to make my Medium writing a significant part of generating the funds I'm going to require to meet my unavoidable financial needs.

Thanks for sharing, I used to write regularly on medium and have had a handful of viral articles, but never made nearly as much as you have, I guess I am getting a lot of offsite reads rather than internal. I also left medium to do other things and have my last baby but I'm getting started again and just trying to figure out how it works now, there are so many changes. Are your email subscribers your own email list or your medium email list (through medium?) also are they still doing curation and does adding referral links hurt that?

I’ve actually been thinking about transferring my personal writing into an online article type blog. I’ve heard of Substack but sounds like there’s no search/SEO stuff so i’d need a built in audience first. Medium seems like the other biggest recommend but coulda swore I heard the policies have been changing a bit for the worse recently and the head guy left cuz he said they failed in some areas…this def still makes it sound like a promising platform tho.

I am only new to medium and wasn't all that aware of the passive income side of things. So thanks for the video and I will look further into the platform. You mention the short articles etc, However, do you still need to keep E-E-A-T and SEO Optimisation in mind when writing on Medium? It seems that anything connected to the internet MUST appease the Google Algorithm inorder for the wider world to have access to an artcile, irrespective of it be controversial or Not?
