Think you have what it takes to be an astronaut on Mars? In this groundbreaking initiative, volunteers will spend a year in a simulated Mars habitat in Houston, facing the same hurdles and sacrifices as future astronauts. From the isolation to the limited resources, participants will get a taste of what it takes to live on the Red Planet. As NASA gears up for real missions to Mars in the 2030s, these simulations play a crucial role in understanding the complexities of Martian exploration. If you're between 30 to 55 years old with a science or piloting background, seize this opportunity to qualify and be part of humanity's journey to the stars!

I think the biggest challenge in this volunteer program is limited internet. Now had they continued the space race well into the 90s, before the dopamine farming internet, I'm dure that wouldn't be a problem.

This is so cool! I was nervous when the application asked about being claustrophobic, but I used to live in an RV, so now that I see the habitat, I could 100% handle that. Might as well put my bio degree and astro-nerdiness to work! 🤓

Man. Can I just be a test subject? 😂 I could deal with the isolation and diet stuff, but I'm not "healthy" and my "background" consists if an associate of general science 😵

How are they going to pretend the
gravity is 38% that of Earths?

Exploring Mars: Maybe, but it would be
extremely costly, & extremely dangerous.
Colonizing Mars: Science fiction pipedream.
Never gonna happen.
