Hubble has gone back to where it has been before, only this time in stunning HD. NASA's famed space telescope has taken many celebrated images, but few as notable as the 'Pillars of Creation,' first captured in 1995. The stunning image of three giant columns of cold gas bathed in the ultraviolet light was captured among a cluster of young, massive stars in a small region of the Eagle Nebula. Now, 25 years later, Hubble returned to that region of space to capture a sharper, wider image of the colorful space feature. The new image has allowed scientists to see details they couldn't have before. There have also been small changes to the pillars in the decades since the first image was taken, revealing movement of gas in the massive formation. The Hubble Space Telescope is a project of international cooperation between NASA and the European Space Agency.
