I sold my stunning a6600 for a R7 (beautiful camera) but the other day I tested an a6700 and I just re-fell in love with Sony’s apsc cameras. They’re just lovely in my hands, but most of all sensor quality and AF performace, mindblowing for just an apsc.
Nice video.

Never seen your videos before, but that first shot, the perfect amount of depth of field, Slightly offset shot, with that little bit of golden hour color a masterpiece

(And knowing that's London, no way the sky is that beautiful)
Might be the best shot I've ever seen for a vlog

I pre-ordered this to switch from DSLR soon as I saw the specs and completely blown away. Excellent camera! I've got some great shots with this little camera.

Ordered this camera yesterday along with a sigma 18-50 2.8 as an upgrade from my Nikon 1j5. This will hopefully a more robust and capable camera for hiking and mountain bike trips but also something I don’t mind taking with me everywhere I go, for when those random opportunity shots present them selves

I started with a Nikon D5200 and then bought a Nikon D500 also. In 2019 I switched to Sony and currently own the A7RV and the A6700 and love them both

Just pressed buy on a Sony a6700 after getting convinced by some videos, including yours. Starting off with a Sigma 18-50mm f2.8.
Looking forward to using this little platform that seems to pack a lot of power in a small frame. Thanks for all your work! Loved your Lisbon travel vlog.

I own this camera with the latest Sigma 24 mm 1.4 art and added a SmalRig bottom plate for even better ergonomics, and I love it!! I mainly do portraits, and the results that I get with that lens (36 mm FF) are amazing!

Is that red shutter button a stick on? (3M?) looks cool

Lovely video bro. This camera is what mirrorless started out to be. Now in it's 7th gen form this lineup finally has got there. Coupled with the amazing lens options it's one heck of a desirable cam❤❤

the petite form factor of the whole apsc line is severely underrated. So much so that if I ever look to go full frame, i can't imagine buying something bigger than an α7C

I think I have decided to upgrade to this from my 6400 instead of going FF. I love my lenses and the 6400 has severed me very well for the few years I've had it. Down the road if my photography turns into more on the professional side then I will switch to FF. I only do photography and no video at all so hearing your review, especially as a 6400 user like you are, makes me feel like it's the right decision for me.

I do like my a6700, and it had none of the overheating problems that have been talked about. I have owned it now for nearly two months. The only annoyance is that I have owned several of the Sony a6000 series cameras and have lost the eye cup at least once on most of them. Today, I was over at Kew Gardens taking some shots and true to form, my eye cup was starting to come off my a6700. A small niggle and don't have this problem on my a7iv or a7siii.

Absolutely loving the specs and ergo of this camera. As an Apsc Nikon z50 shooter i have grown out of it, However still looking for the small form factor of apsc bodies. As Nikon are taking their time with an upgrade of the Z50 and not too many lenses to experiment creativity with, i think im sold on selling the Z50 ans putting the money towards the A6700.

α6700 with Viltrox 75mm f1.2 vs Sigma 56mm f1.4 - this should be a priority video 🏆

even this is hybrid camera, the A6700 comes "photo first" then " video", so it's very very good for photos, landscape, street, traveling.and to have a weather sealed is fantastic ( I mean XS20 doesn't have it)

That’s it, I am buying this one! Upgrade from the 6300. For one, I want to start with videography as well, thanks again for a nice and inspiring review.

Uplifting, fast paced, credible review, Curtis. Smooth! Good follow up to prior vid. Is the unit in this vid your own, or the borrowed one? Recently purchased this model.
Noted the red “soft button cap” on your shutter — nice touch😊.
Love the ergonomics, and front dial makes all the difference. Video button can be a custom button. No joy stick, but you can assign a custom button to reposition the focus point to a (previously) registered location (kinda like center pressing a joystick).
Can be a chore to assign custom settings to memory slots (1, 2, 3, e.g.) because each memory bank retains the default settings. So, for instance, if you turn off AF assist light in a PASM set, it’s still on in memory 1, 2, 3 and M1, M2, M3 and M4.
Cheers!

Love, love my a6400, and you’re the reason I chose that camera. I now believe I will upgrade to this one and you have lots to do with that!
