Start charging an unvaccinated surcharge that triples the price at every stadium, grocery store, mall, etc. Oh and still keep them segregated. Use the surcharge money to make improvements to the vaccinated areas. Let’s see how committed these folks are.

My 16 year old son heard this and pointed out that separating people is exactly what you don’t want to do if you want maximum vaccine effectiveness. It would allow the virus to spread unhindered through the unvaccinated group...

If they want to have a special section for non-vaccinated persons with one person every third seat they should charge three times the ticket price for those seats. It's not fair for venues/teams/bands to lose revenue because someone chooses to not get the vaccine BUT still wants the privilege of attending an event. Should also add an additional 15% surcharge to pay for the PPE and cleaning supplies that are needed to hold an event with non-vaccinated persons in attendance. If the ticket is for someone who is ineligible for the vaccine they should just be charged the normal fee.

As a vaccinated person my visceral first reaction is oh yes, separate them out don’t make me sit next to them…and then I think… if there’s anything we could do to make sure these antivaxxers are able to keep the virus not only alive but mutating, it’s to push all the unvaccinated people into the same physical space. For full “herd immunity” estimates have been that we need 70%…. We have 55% of the population currently immune, but for the vaccinated peoples immunity to do any good, we are basically REQUIRED to mingle with those people, because doing so means one fewer person who they can transmit to… this is purely based on my own logic and not a medical study or anything, but I think the science probably supports the fact that separating out the unvaccinated would actually be extremely likely to have a negative effect on the growth and mutation of the virus
