TL;DR enable "resizable bar" if your mainboard and dedicated graphics card are from.. about 2018 and newer

I hope it works on my 2007 laptop that runs a flash game in 4 fps.

Update: The laptop released the smell of burned plastic and it got fried

Its only available on systems that already have strong CPU and GPU.
Also you can turn on above 4g, performance boost will be more noticeable

Damn, mine was already on by default... 💀

It only gives you like 5 percent performance increase. And then, only sometimes.

"Just go into your BIOS and..."
"Lemme stop you there. No way in hell."

What it does is let the CPU directly access the whole VRAM instead of just one section at a time

Yes, but there is also a small pitfall, resizable bar needs CSM to be turned off, this small compatibility layer provides support for old fashion API used by some apps like open source bootloaders, some text mode tools and so one.

What's the downside of turning it on, because it was disabled by default so maybe something to do with system protection like hardware failure, etc..? Please explain

I turned on 4G decoding and resize bar but then the system doesnt boot into windows, it goes into bios.
I think the reason might be that you need to have your storage drives be in GPT format not MBR.

Resizable BAR is a setting that a lot of people know about, but many people forget to turn on. Makes a bit difference.

Another setting that can speed up your computer: turning off Windows Defender's real time protection. In some cases having it turned on keeps CPU utilization at 100% all the time

Usually Resizable bar does give you an increase in fps but only for usually for recent titles but for older titles you can actually lose performance

yeee, but don't tell anyone about having to change your OS drive Partition to GPT otherwise you can't boot into windows after turning on Resizable Bar.
