That unit comes with a plug. The piece you said you didn’t need is the plug for the other side. It installs on the inside of the basin as opposed to the outside like the other one. Also, there are knockouts on the outlet pipe connection to be able to use it with full sized corrugated pipe. Just FYI so you can get full capacity instead of buying smaller corrugated pipe to match the more expensive catch basin made for bigger pipe.

I don't understand A few drips of water why the sealant? Again should have hocked the drain pipe directly too down spout.

I have been wrestling with the catch basin trying to connect it and the darn thing kept popping off - back to Home Depot for some screws and silicone - but thanks.

U should’ve went to the NDS website n got all the info u needed n options u had for catch basins 🤦🏽‍♂️
