SOLVED ESP8266 NodeMCU LoLin WIFI Board commfail error

In this video, I show the steps to fix the most common error with the generic ESP8266 or NodeMCU board --- "espcomm_upload_mem failed"

This shows how to fix the following error message on esp8266 -- esp8266 warning: espcomm_sync failed error: espcomm_open failed error: espcomm_upload_mem failed error: espcomm_upload_mem failed.

In my case the Bauds speed to the max is OK, the problem was the Port... It defaulted to the Bluetooth port so: Tools> Port> USB solved the issue and uploads in a "Blink" ;) (Also mine is a ESP-12F)

Bloody heck. I've updated drivers, checked com port designation (COM6), confirmed the board type (WEMOS D1 Mini), pressed on board reset before & during upload, tried 115200, 57600, and 9600 baud, and rebooted the machine and board so many times that they're both annoyed at me, and still:

warning: espcomm_sync failed
error: espcomm_open failed
error: espcomm_upload_mem failed

Frustrating.
