Isn't this a re-upload? I remember watching this ages ago. Would love to see a FCPX walkthrough as well. I'm changing my library settings to WGHDR, but still not sure whether I'm doing everything right. Any chance you guys can create a workflow walkthrough for using ProRes as well as non-Pro-Res (Let's say for HD 120fps) on Final Cut? Would be SUPER appreciated! Thanks.

$200 extra - unless you got the Filmmaker’s Kit (as I did) - then it’s FREE!

Unfortunately, Apple has not updated FCPX so you have no built in LUTs to process Nikon/Atomos ProRes RAW... some people have been using Sony.cin (which makes sense as Nikon uses the Sony Chip for video) but this still is a kludge since it does not consider Nikon’s color science...even at this point... you really have to color grade on your own and the ranges are not near as dynamic as Pro Camera ProRes RAW but that was to be expected. N-log is still the way to go if you have to shoot for $$$ until Apple and Atomos/Nikon supply the missing LUTs for quick profiling... as available for non log video...

Also, watch the Time Coding. IF You intend you shoot dialogue do NOT use the Z6 clock... it is not accurate enough to sync dialogue (ever wonder why all those video commercials do NOT deal with dialogue but have - music - to underscore their clips!)

You need an external Audio recorder (I purchase the Zoom F4 with accurate clock for recording) and tentacle 🐙 devices to sync’d the Z6 audio base track to the F4 and - even then - there is a lag writing out to the Ninja V but fairly consistent enough for short dialogue scenes... definitely needs and entire separate workflow!
