RAW VIDEO for the MASSES! Atomos Ninja V + Nikon Z

We loved meeting with Jeromy Young from Atomos to discuss the big news they announced at CES this year. We finally have RAW FOR THE MASSES! For well under $5k you can have a pro video camera that can shoot RAW VIDEO that will be easy to use. Using EVA1 with Shogun Inferno for few months for 5.7K ProRes Raw. It is awesome. The only one disadvantage is u need plenty of light ;)

Yes - very excited about ProRes RAW and even more excited about Blackmagic's new RAW video format which appears that it might be even better. Would love to see Sony picking up one or both of these.

Hah, looking at the Ninja V right now. Was audio done here with a shotgun mic and cleaned up in Audition? It's really clear for such a loud area. Never really thought to ask this stuff until now.

Remember when I was a kid in the 70s and started shooting 16mm and feeling depressed that I would never be able to afford video.... now there’s HOPE to shoot our OWN stuff!!

With the pixel count of those sensors, 4K Raw will be either a substantial crop or heavy pixel binning, neither are good. Do you know which it will be?

So you need an Apple to edit the Raw videos? What's the best specs to have on your laptop to do these edits?

We are reaching point in time that Filmmakers will pass on z6 because the lack of Prores Raw not coming into fruition.

I sold all of my M43 kit and jumped over to the Nikon Z6 and Z7 in anticipation of Prores Raw
Just wanted to say thank you for your CES videos (there one of the reasons i jumped ship)
I just shot a video on my channel about the Z6 and the ultimate Run_N_Gun setup
