How To Play Road Trippin Guitar Lesson & TAB - Red Hot Chili Peppers

Learn how to play Road Trippin by the Red Hot Chili Peppers with this free online instructional youtube video tutorial. This is part 1 and covers the intro riffs, verse, and Chorus. It's basically a "by ear transcription" that i did but i checked out a video or 2 to make sure it's accurate. Nevertheless it could very well be that certain chords or riffs are played with a different fingering but overall it should be pretty ok...

Chances are that I don't cover each and every variation but this tutorial should give you a solid base for those few alterations that are played in the original song.

Thanks! It's a Yamaha APX 26D, bought it about 15 years ago in Amsterdam. Right now I only use it for these kind of recordings because I don't have a pickup for my Rozawood

Thanks! normally I don't really have trouble with putting a song in tab but I like to check live footage(when I have time to do so) to see how an artist plays things live. It gives me an idea how strict the person is in playing his own material. That is something you can't pick up from tab. sometimes I download tab from Ultimate Guitar but then check every bit of it, a lot of those tabs have mistakes. (and also I make mistakes myself)

:-) awesome! Yeah sometimes i don't get that either to be honest. Back in the day i had to travel for a couple of hours to a library where they had 1 or 2 books with tab. Now internet gets filled, there are tons of videos but sometimes it looks like some people don't get any more appreciative. Ah well, sign of the times maybe?
