I signed in just to say this is the best note 9 video I've seen so far. Straight to the point, no filler.

You might also remind viewers that in Settings you can set it to "block accidental touches". It prevents the screen from detecting touch input while your phone is in a dark place, such as your pocket or bag.
Settings - Display - scroll all the way down - check "Block accidental touches".
I think that will not only save much in battery use, but it also prevents activating apps unnecessarily.

6 hours screen on time plus 20% to spare with screen resolution to 2k....this is by far the biggest I've used especially after note 8

Omg this works!! My note suddenly doesn't not drop 1% every 2 min!! I have tried so many ways to max battery but this is the best. Immediate effect.

I have have almost the same brightness settings on my Note 9 and my computer monitor as you set in this video when you lowered it. Around the half way point is not too bright that it's bad for good young eyes and it's also not so dark that your eyes it hurts your eyes in the long term. I recommend getting a micro SD card with a lot of storage if you plan on storing a lot of stuff on a Note 9 or any other smartphone with a micro SD card slot and if your internal storage is not close to full on a smartphone then it will run faster and the battery will last longer. Turning off a lot of settings you will never use can also help your batter last longer and the phone run faster overall. Having a software version that doesn't slow down your significantly Note 9 and drain its battery significantly can also help. Even with Express VPN set to always on off and on my secure folder on my Note 9, the battery life and speed are still impressively good and both those things I saw first hand proof that they are unhackable unless someone knows your password and has your phone, but I have always dealt with security/privacy issues right away and I have all my passwords saved on my notes app on my secure folder for if I forget one of them and I feel like all my passwords are not that obvious or easy to guess by other people. Express VPN is so cheap to use too which is very nice. If you don't want to hear your Note 9's notification sounds or ringer then turning on the LED indicator and the Edge lighting is a good idea and you can set different colours for different apps and even change the effect. I have my phone's sounds off usually so I don't feel like I have to always check my phone. I also use a great older version of Evie launcher which you can find on a web browser and it includes no ads and it I notice hardly any battery life drainage from it. Evie launcher is my favourite after trying and seeing many launchers because it's so simple to use with enough customization features. I use Lines Dark pro with a solid shade of purple as my home scree background on my Note 9 which goes so well with my purple case. Having fast wifi also helps the speed of my Note 9 overall. If you play games on your Note 9 then having game launcher and game booster working when you use them help improve the running speed of games. I like to use medium power saving mode sometimes too which is still faster than my iPod Touch 6 and the Full HD it switches to actually looks higher quality to my good eyes than my iPod Touch 6. I use that when I am just listening to music on a long road trip and when the battery gets low. I am very careful with my Note 9 when cleaning it and I use only a small amount of soap and water on it to clean it, sanitizer could significantly damage the screen over time. It does have a case I got from a mobile phone repair place. Even with the peeling on my fingerprint scanner it still works. With a blue light filter always on and not even set to maximum intensity my head never gets a headache just from screen light like it used to, but I don't use blue light filters when editing videos or photos. So far a lot of other smartphones I have seen have too many flaws to be worth my money including forcing you to take brighter photos with the default camera settings, but my Note 9 usually takes perfect photos when I use pro mode with f2.4 set. Heck, even after a few years of use I have hardly noticed a difference in terms of battery life and speed of my Note 9. I even like to use my Note 9 in computer mode with a TV or monitor with a wireless charger so it actually can charge at the same time. The Note 9 is still my favourite smartphone after looking at many new ones plus after using older smartphones and older iMacs.

Thanks for the video. Let me start by saying that I have used phones with 4000mAh (or more) batteries for over 2 years now (mostly Huawei devices). So, I have a mental benchmark that I hope the phone to match/beat. I have a Pixel 2XL (3520mAh), Asus Zenfone 5Z (3300mAh) and my Exynos Dual-SIM Note 9 (I also have my old Note 8 in a drawer waiting to be sold on eBay). I'm a power user + someone who likes to test apps. I have pretty much the same 500+ apps on all of my phones (save for the Samsung specific apps in the Note 9 like PenUP, Samsung Health, etc). Unfortunately, my Note 9 performs nowhere near those levels in terms of battery. Granted its dual-SIM but so is my Asus (with 'just' a 3300 mAh battery on SD845), granted there are 500+ apps, but like I said, the same apps exist in ALL my other phones. On top of this, I use the N9 only in 'HD+' mode (not quad HD), I have downloaded 'Package Disabler' and disabled pretty much everything related to Bixby and then some. Apart from 15-20 apps, all other apps have been marked as 'Always Sleeping Apps', disabled WiFi and BT scanning, tried system launcher instead of Nova, etc. Still, the best I get is probably 3.25-3.5 (and rarely 4hrs) of SoT with around 12-15 hours of overall device on time (for comparison, my N8 which is also dual-SIM but with SD835, gave me 2.5-3hrs SoT with 11-12 hours of overall device on time). My Pixel 2XL (which is another story since it lags like a 2010 phone!) gives me decent battery life. The biggest surprise was my Asus. I did not expect it to last 20+ hours with 4-5hrs SoT on a 3300 mAh and all this WITHOUT having to do any battery optimization antics (unlike Huawei devices which aggressively kills any app in the background, and after having owned 5-6 Huawei devices until the Mate10Pro, I've given up on Huawei for this reason) ! Also, my N9 drains 3-4% per hour in stand-by, it was 4-5% before all the disabling I did, now its 3-4% (I'm actually ok with 1-2% per hour drain during stand-by). So, one big reason for my N9's poor overall battery performance seems to be due to a non-existent doze mode. Since I imported the N9 from HK, I really can't return it. Hence, I'm genuinely surprised when the interwebs keep talking about the N9's supposed great battery life. Sorry about the unintended rant. (PS - I'm still surprised by my Asus's overall performance and amazing batt life, didn't expect it at all.)

After a lot of hustle I finally got my note 9 to work properly, but what I expected and what I got is two different thing, I thought the battery would last for a full day which it did not, and my old phone battery stays longer than the note 9, and I am having a lot of doubts I hope your video wiIl help. Will update you!

I get about 6.5 of SOT. I notice watching movies it does a good job at conserving battery. But when it comes to Facebook, SC, etc. Those really kill the battery.

Speeding up the animations just makes the entire experience really jarring. Not a fan of that.. but as they say, to each their own ;)

Great video, helped improved by battery life, especially with the device maintenance and stopping apps that run in the background.
