that is a totally wrong census. You say only 2k indians can do AI job even 15 year old kids these day are doing way more tools than anybody. Of course not everyone is top notch in Ai but even if you apply for a single AI job it just closes in 1 minute its flooded with resumes. India has a lot of talent and potential but not that kind of platform and ecosystem. But it is progressing like anything. Soon you will see tremendous opportunities and groundbreaking work from Indian community and ofcourse even so called unemplyed youth today will be part of it.

I am a US based Engineer about to retire in four years. This threat about AI causing job losses is real. India would do well to ban this technology to preserve low level jobs where most of their citizens are employed.

Seriously the worst job AI could replace is Customer Service.... it's pathetic.... if a user uses an app and faced transactional issue... AI customer service can't help... faced once lost my 500 rupees once due to their bug.... If people hates that robo caller to contact the customer care agent... how can this AI be helpful for consumers though..??

I had 10 developers in my team 6 months ago with 7 of them in junior-mid level and 3 seniors. Now, I just have 3 senior devs in team with good compensation. revenue has increased 50% in 3 months, even after decreasing the devs from 10 to 3. One does not need AGI. Rate of progress in AI is such that it will require less people for same task.
