The most insidious thing about self checkouts is that the companies effectively pushed the work of their employees onto their customers while simultaneously raising prices on everything in the store.

The car replaced the horse. In this scenario, we are the horse.

You'd be surprised how shortsighted corporations are. Blinded by the temptation of short term profits.
They Do Not Care for the sustainability of their industry.

What I love about it is they’re using AI and robots, but still charging full price like they’re paying for an employee and their benefits

AI-Customer Service is a company’s way to say “F*ck you” to their customers

The American dream was essentially the middle class lifestyle. Gone.

Supermarkets in the UK are starting to remove self-service checkouts, something about the losses from theft are starting to exceed the cost of paying someone to serve you….

Do not count on shareholders to give up a single penny. They are vultures waiting for you to die so they can feed on your corpse.

No one seems to talk about why things are not getting cheaper. Progress mean more profit instead of cheaper prices.

As an electrician, AI will always need power 🤷🏾‍♂️

When AI does all the work, only Lizard People and their offspring will be able to afford anything.
Sleestaks will rule again!! 🦎

We called all the preppers who live off the grid crazy. Now we realize that they’re the only people living for themselves, and we dream to be like them. Most of them even generate their own electricity with solar and even play online games and watch Netflix.

It's ridiculous how the increased efficiency at work doesn't translate to cheaper products or better wages or anything. It's just the corporation saving on employee costs meanwhile racking up the prices.

Luckily I do hands-on work with the robots that isn't easy to replace.

This has played out in all of history. The rich get richer, and the poor get more poor.

My question is, if AI takes over all jobs and no people have to work for a few generations and people become dependent on AI for basic things like food, water and electricity, what will happen if the AI collapses, like and EMP or solar flare destroyers all electronics on earth what will the people of the future do if none of them have the skills to rebuild society?

UBI would be the ultimate control mechanism that will roll out with a social credit score system.

Posting unfavorable things about the government, not getting your bi-monthly boosłer shoł, attending the wrong protest, having a large carbon footprint etc... well no UBI for you this month.

2:32 just a tip, if you have to deal with an automated robot asking you to specify your issue when calling a customer service number, just repeat “talk to a representative” or “talk to a live agent” over and over. even if the robot repeats its questions. after about 3 or 4 times of doing this and cutting them off, they’ll give up and switch you over 😊😂

If all the jobs are taken by ai and there is no one to consume anything what will they even produce for

UBI. It´s inevitable. Starving the poor would be the single biggest mistake of the elites. Hungry people are angry people.
