We can also use "angle subtended at the center is the double the angle subtented by an arc at any remaining part of the circle" theorem
The angle subtented at the center will be 180° in this case, so the other angle will be 90°

ChatGPT told me to go to your channel! Amazing to see an AI to link to your channel.

Another good proof: Take any arbitrary rectangle. Find it's center. By definition, all 4 corners will be the same distance from the center. That means a circle can be draw with the same center, passing thru all 4 corners. Now the corners of a rectangle are 90°. Diagonals of the rectangle are also diameters of the circle, so 2 opposite corners form AB, while either of the other corners is P, as per Eddie's diagram.

You can also reverse it, taking Eddies diagram and extending PO to Q of the far side, forming 2 crossed diagonals, which also define a rectangle.

Circle Geometry is one of six topics covered in the Western Australian Mathematics Specialist ATAR course in Year 11. We covered 12 circle theorems, with this being one of them. Problems in assessments and exams were typically either deductions of angle sizes or chord lengths, or proofs using some of the theorems.
It's sad to see this topic not as prevalent in the HSC Mathematics courses as it was a pretty unique and interesting part of our top mathematics ATAR course.
