As an American, who majored in German in college, and then picked up Japanese as a hobby, this definitely makes sense. There’s a certain elegance to the way new concepts can be crafted in both languages. That really makes me smile.

I always liked the way german words where spoken im anime, its not "right" in a by the book sense but its close enough to get it and its just nice to know some one finds enjoyment in parts of your culture and wants to have it bee a part of his creation also with al the emotion and caracter the VAs bring to it it just sounds cool!
