Like swami dayanand saraswati urged to go back to Vedic period, he didn't mean that follows the -ve aspects of that time period..it's for that at that time there's no culture of child marriage, sati-pratha, and even widow marriages are permissible..

So, it's the genuine mean to follow our past..rather than including the -ve exploitatory part..
