you can use power bank, you can bring it outside, not for too long though, charging it overnight is okay, it cuts out at 100%, then when it goes to 97%, it tops it off.

I have an oculus quest 2 and another major tip I have about the headset is: ALWAYS KEEP IT SOMEWHERE SAFE AND KEEP IT SAFE because at first glance it looks and feels chunky but it’s very very Fragile. Think of it as the cordless Apple earphones of the headsets in the market. It’s good but it’s very breakable… I’m tried of seeing friends I talk too say they’re headset has broken lenses, broken controllers, broken straps and the headset itself sometimes. From experience and sometimes from others IT CAN ALSO BREAK FROM INSIDE and that’s bad. So your headset could look fine from the outside but probably not from the inside. The trackers on the controller can go lose, the magnets in the controllers can malfunction, the sensors can stop working, the battery can go bad, the speakers can break, the controllers can drift and all of these issues may not be reversible. In fact I advise not to take it apart especially the controllers because if you set the magnets inside wrong it will cause problems.

So keep the headset in a safe place and be careful with it because it’s more fragile than you think.

I have holded/rested my oculus VR on my forehead, but now i know it can be dangerous, so i better just take headset off if something important should be.

You forgot one general piece of advice. When watching certain videos when not alone in a house, make sure you wear your earphones. Some may not want to hear about Spiderman coming home.

the stuff with not charging it all night it could possibly do the things you mentioned but it also ruins the battery over time so it dies quicker and charges slower

Charging all night won’t hurt the headset. It might decrease battery life over time by small amounts but that’s about it. Don’t scare people into weird habits.

Charging thing I wouldn't worry about the processor trickles the charge rate once at 100%

I don't have motion sickness but guys using a mat is the best thing you could buy because if your playing gorilla tag you can move a little bit and hit or throw your controller so a mat helps alot

The “Do not full charge to 100%” is bullshit its ok to fully charge it but he is right about letting it die it can cause some problems

Sorry but what happened with the Samsung note phone was because of a particular defect with the battery they used it's been over a year of quest 2 being in use and nobody has had a problem with the battery so telling people they cannot use a power bank with a device that has two-and-a-half hours of battery life is ridiculous it is not going to damage the battery or make it explode 🤦‍♀️ the quest 2 has built-in features that will stop it from charging when full and there are power Banks that Oculus say are safe to use like the Anker ones with built-in safety features

One time my oculus fell in water in a sink full of water it still fine after that no damage, just very foggy when I play on it.

i want to point out something about being outside. you can use your vr headset outside you just need to make sure there is no prolonged exposure to the lenses. now another thing i want to point out bc alot of ppl get it confused is that the cameras on the front of the quest ARE NOT lenses they can be in the sun. as long as you are wearing your headset no sun will get in

If you have to resort to using your shirt to clean your lenses just do it really light. I know from experience, I’ve actually been doing it because I’m at my grandparents for 2 weeks

When I first bought the Oculus Quest 2 I had to run a lot of test to see how well it survived? Charging survived, yes I did leave it there for the night, and sometimes when I'm awake and the green light is on I unplug it. Also I let it drain to 0% and it survived. And I had no problems. Course I have to drink plenty of water before I play VR.
