Tender headiness is a real thing. My hair wasn’t as near thick as hers. I understand she’s consider non verbal, but watching you comb that beautiful thick hair makes me cry. My brother had to hold my hand when my mother washed my hair, lol. I’m still tender headed and have not let anyone touch my hair for years.

You really spoke to my mind the way you so eloquently said that. I have never heard that phrased better 🤗🤗.

I really appreciate this video, I always thought I had to control my child to be a good mom but everytime I watch one of your shorts on gentle parenting I try to apply what I learn and it gets easier everyday

I agree. The other gentle way I’ve seen…where parents are being hit, yelled at and their child throwing things, as the parent just tries to ignore it…while telling the child to let them know when they’re ready to talk.
1) they will do it in public
2) it’s teaching your child that everyone will treat them the same when they act out, and sadly this world will not love and care for your kids like you will.
You can be both calm and authoritative.
Healthy communication 😊

This is deep. I find myself acting out when I should be the one soothing over the situation. I'm coming down to my son's level instead of teaching him how to deal with certain scenarios.😢

Yes!! Thank you. People always think it’s about letting your child do any and everything and it’s so far from it.

You are a phenomenal woman and mother. And from what we see it is easy to conclude that you are amazing in all the roles you operate in wife, daughter, sister, Aunty, cousin, and friend. Thank you for sharing a segment of your life and family with the world to remind us to grow and be better. Thank you and may God bless your entire family.

This is the best explanation I’ve ever heard!! Didn’t know about “gentle parenting” until later. I just remembered wanting to be treated fairly as a child and I strive to apply that to my parenting. It is not easy. It’s not about giving in at all!
Thank you so much for this!

You are a great teacher of patience! It still breaks my heart to hear Mikko cry but I know you are being gentle as possible combining her hair.❤

Love this message!💯Some of us are not self regulated making it hard to then help regulate our children in a healthy manner.

Our oldest has autism, as a child he was so frustrated he could not talk to make clear what he meant. I was often met with my teeth through my lip, bite marks or a bloody nose because he charge out of nowhere. I got him help at the early age of 2.

He is now 17, talks hours on end, is going for his driver licence, and is starting his new school soon😊
It took YEARS, a lot of patience, help, communication to get where he is now, but I am so proud of him 🙏
