I go outside or into my room when i feel like im gonna cry, i suggest that all guys do this. its not giving the cold shoulder to your partner, its ensuring that your partner doesn't have a reason to ditch you. Do not hold your feelings in until you explode and hurt someone, just go off to a secluded spot (preferably with your dog) and let it out, whether that be anger or sadness.

I agree mostly. It is not wrong for a man to cry. But it should not be over small things. It should not be often.

Hold on Mark, I appreciate your work but this is only half the story. First off, as much as most of us Christians find it hard to accept, there is masculinity and femininity in both men and women, if you consider traits such as empathy, compassion, gentleness as traditionally feminine traits, which I think is black and white thinking but none the less, it's what society sadly sees core Christian values as being, gender specific.

This is proof we're complicated creatures & sure some have more of these traits than others. I guess what I'm struggling to see here is how genuine Christian women find a man who cries very occasionally, not advocating for crying over trivial things, unattractive. Look at all the masculine men in scripture who've shed tears and showed the traits mentioned above. Then there's modern examples of a man tearing up when he sees his bride walking down the aisle, has a child, loses a loved one, even when he feels passionate about a social cause or watches a moving film. I'm sure you've heard these arguments for Mark and maybe this short doesn't entirely reflect your view but it seems that you see anything bar stoicism to be weakness. Can you please elaborate?

I do like your content but as a single Christian man who's enjoyed your videos I'm finding it troubling how close so many Christian YouTubers are going a bit red pill. Yet there is some merit to their arguments so I'm exploring this. Thank you if you read all this and I hope you reply.

We don't say that to show that we like men to be the standard of "femininity", we like men to be true to themselves, just as much as we are. Crying isn't a feminine trait, it's a trait both genders should be able to do without being judged by men who nitpick at everything and make men constantly insecure about themselves.
